With the sad news that Bicester Town Football Club is facing closure over a £9000 debt to the BSA and appeals for the public to help, shouldnt we be asking how this can happen ?.
The club pays for the use of the pitch, floodlights, changing rooms etc, this money is paid to the local Bicester Sports Association, they say to cover their costs.
This land was donated to the people of Bicester for local sport.
In the past the BSA and its trustees have sold land for millions of pounds to .......
Tesco..........you guesssed !.
So, how can our Town Football Club be homeless ? and if they have to leave what will happen to the land ? our land.
Up the TOWN !
ReplyDeleteWhatever will the BSA do with a prime piece of land in the middle of town opposite one of the biggest supermarkets in the country and a retail outlet ?.
